BERKLEY — Board of Selectmen denies motor vehicle license for auto salvage business on residential Blossom Lane. Chair Jennifer Vincent and members Tabitha K. McCrohan and Mark Horsfall voted unanimously to reject the Class IIf application, citing zoning incompatibility and environmental concerns after a public hearing revealed resident opposition over water contamination, traffic, and noise risks.
The board also approved a $40 million permanent non-state qualified bond, authorized submission of a grant application to the Lynn Foundation for up to $300,000 toward playground equipment at the CNS field, and approved a new building permit fee schedule effective March 1, 2026, consolidating rates and applying 1.5 percent for commercial projects.
