Berkley Council on Aging approved prior amended minutes and heard a January financial report. Krista Celia presented balances totaling approximately $62,000 across Town Budget Salary, Town Funded Accounts, Formula Grant, Program Donations, and General Donations. The board discussed an upcoming March 21 community forum where Celia plans to address the council's growth and explain how a proposed 6 percent budget cut would block hiring an Outreach Coordinator.
Margaret Moroff called the coordinator a fundamental COA position. The council approved a spring event calendar including CPR training, clinics, painting classes, and bank fraud education.
