Conservation Commission approves garage project, continues house-project hearing

misc · Meeting of May 6, 2026

Berkley Conservation Commission approves garage at 708 Berkley Street; voids single-family house decision. Chairman David Patrick, with members Jeff Cuttner and Mary Kate Moreau, unanimously approved a Certificate of Compliance for garage and site work in a wetland buffer zone, with fees paid and applicant departing. The board also unanimously voted to approve a Notice of Intent for a single-family house at 1 Kellan Way but immediately invalidated that decision because abutters were not notified of the correct hearing time; the application continues to the June 3 meeting.

The Commission noted the resignation of member Diane Maxwell and discussed wetlands violations at 146/148 Bryant Street and a Cotley River Conservation Area Planning grant decision expected May 14.
